Westford held a Pinkotober awareness event on October 18th, 2022 at Al Taawun Campus and October 26th, 2022 at Al Zahia Campus, taking an additional step to increase awareness. The campaign’s purpose was to share information, increase awareness of breast cancer’s early warning signs and symptoms, and urge individuals to seek treatment right away because early cancer therapy is often more successful. The fight against breast cancer has inspired Westford students to commit “To detect it, treat it, and overcome it.”

WUC organized various activities to support and honour breast cancer survivors and their families, including a glass painting competition, a face painting competition, and a digital poster competition. Ms. Bushra Zaidi and Dr Sharon were invited as guest speakers for the day’s panel

As cancer survivors, they emphasized the harsh realities and struggles they experienced while fighting cancer, and a few specialized physicians from Thumbay Hospital were also invited to conduct some self-examination techniques and highlight the need for early identification. Every member of the faculty and personnel at Westford University College did their part to raise awareness. As the show came to a close, the Dance Club and Music Club performed great and emotional acts. They performed to encourage and assist individuals going through treatment.
