Both retail and commercial marketing efforts increase awareness of the product and persuade people to buy them leaving their existing products. Several subsections inside different industries which exist in the case of marketing like merchandising and promotional activities. Although there are several factors that are similar to both retail and commercial marketing these are distinguishable from each other.

Commercial Marketing generally involves introducing products to corporations or people. The main objective of commercial marketing is to establish a relation between the product and consumer. Majority of business organizations associate a brand with the product in order to achieve this through various marketing methods.

In the case of retail marketing, the targets are limited to marketing products only. Marketing Executives sell products to consumers rather than selling them to organizations and corporations. The purpose of retail marketing is to associate the particular section of products to a group of customers having similarities. Commercial Marketing is having multiple perspectives than retail marketing.
