Media and communications have never had greater global importance or value, making degrees in these fields, perhaps the most fascinating and broadly accessible, as today. We thrive in an exciting age, in terms, of media and communications. Although conventional media such as film, television, and radio remain enormously important, and no one goes without a cell phone, the dawn of the digital era has fundamentally altered the paradigm.

It is still dawning – that we may find it hard to picture or recall, how things used to be, a decade ago. Most online households were still using dial-up modems, and ten years ago the internet was unheard of! Since then, media and communications have grown to be even bigger businesses in just a small time.

What’s Communication and Media Studies?
