Westford University College organized its third edition of ‘WeConnect with Business Leaders’ event on February 20, 2019. The event aims to connect with the Industry stalwarts in order to bridge the gap between academia and industry. With the strong vision in mind, Westfordians had an opportunity to interact with our chief guest of the day, Mr. Ilya Urazakov, Head of Legal Representation, UAE office of the Kazakh Invest National Company. The speaker of the event was Mr. Yogan who is a Co-founder and the CEO of Kojji, an online marketplace in UK.
The event marked the enthralling experience of knowledge stimulation with the range of understanding the FDI requirements to refining the successful journey of an online business. The versatility of topics captivated the audience.
Westford Undergraduate and MBA students enthusiastically led the interaction session with the chief guest and the speaker for the day. The inquisitiveness to understand varied aspects of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and its role in the development of a country was well addressed by Mr. Ilya. While the competitive role of a start up, Kojji and its surviving strategy was very well taken up by Mr. Yogan. Westfordians were inspired by the impactful thought sharing sessions. Our Business faculty, Dr. Raman Subramanian expressed, “The event was a blended learning experience in availing insights related to the challenges and opportunities for promising Entrepreneurs with an insightful outlook related to use of FDI for exploring investment opportunities across Central Asia.”
