Sometimes the behavioral problems associated with employees need to find out in order to control them by finding a solution to their problems. As the moral of the employees is directly affecting the productivity inside a company it is essential to take care of discipline in an organization. Every company should have policies regarding the discipline to be followed which is based on positive approach.
Most of the time disciplinary action against an employee is related to the misconduct inside the company. Misconduct by an employee is the behavior of ruining or neglecting work and work related things against the law of the company. This can be further explained as not following orders from superiors, absence and excuse from work, verbally abusing fellow workers, dishonesty and theft inside the company.
Companies will be having disciplinary policies regarding misconduct of the employees and investigation will be carried out on reporting such incidents. The first step in the process will be investigated about the incidents to the employee itself. After that evidence should be collected regarding the incident from other employees and involvement of other staff members should be checked. In certain incidents, the case should be reported to other managers and their opinion also need to be considered. The employee should be made aware of what caused the disciplinary action is going to be taken for breaking the law.
After the investigation process is over the managers should decide about what needs to be done in the case of the employee. At this point, it should be noted that there should not be any violation of human rights occurring in the case of employees in case of the action being taken. It should also be noted that the disciplinary action should not create an embarrassment to the employee.
