Most of the time companies will be having plans for finding out the successors for a senior level of employees but it is also good to have middle-level management also. Although there will not be any perfect replacement options it will be more of finding the most suitable person available.
The management team taking care of succession planning should convey the matter to the necessary employees to make the process more transparent. It is not good to explain to the selected candidate to inform about the replacement but to have proper plan to develop necessary skills needed for the position. The next thing to do after the selection of the right candidate who will be taking the responsibility will be to give proper training so that he develops the necessary skills. It is also essential to build an attitude to take more responsibilities for the job position once there is a promotion to the desired level. After the training, the employee should have a better understanding of the business process and potential to grow under various cu=circumstances.
