The Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business is designed to prepare students to be professionals and self-reflective individuals capable of meeting the needs of employers in the business sector and adapting to a constantly changing environment.
The qualifications are intended to increase access to higher education and improve the job prospects of those who pursue them. The Pearson Higher National Diploma aims to provide learners with the business skills, information, and understanding required to excel in today’s global business environment.
It aims to provide education and training for a variety of business occupations, as well as a greater awareness of international business operations and the possibilities and challenges given by a globalized marketplace.
It allows students to enter or advance in work, business, or gain higher education credentials.
Depending on their area of interest, students can choose from three specialization pathways available with the HND in Business.

The programme is meant to explore the creative capacity of learners through a focused curriculum that prepares them for future degree-level studies and/or industry work. The curriculum promotes experiential learning through group projects, practical assignments, and class partnerships to better mirror the real-world workplace.
